Where Are Your Boundaries?

I was thinking today about the future I want to craft when I became conscious that no sooner had I thought of an idea, my tendency was to immediately impose a boundary around it in the shape of negative questioning. “What if nobody else is interested in my idea or what I have to say?” “What if it doesn’t work out?”

We are exposed throughout our lives to what other people think is and isn’t possible, but history has shown that the boundaries to what is actually possible are usually much further away than where we might believe at any given moment. Any limitations we perceive, therefore, come from within us and are as a result of the conditioning that we have absorbed throughout our lives which in turn creates a set of beliefs which then govern our thoughts.

Creativity itself has no boundary. Our subconscious is capable of finding the resources to create whatever reality we want and to it there is no difference between something that has actually happened and something we can vividly imagine. That’s why sometimes we have difficulty distinguishing a dream from reality. Only when we let our conscious thoughts impose limitations based on what we believe to be possible do we begin to drastically limit our probability of success.

By recognising this I was able to stop any self-imposed barriers from being erected and took immediate positive action to take me closer to my goal. I was back in charge of what I believed possible and one step nearer to it becoming a reality.
