I always find time around now to sit down and reflect on the year and in particular make sure to feel good about the highlights – on the basis that during the year most of us are rubbish at pausing and acknowledging ourselves for who we’ve been and what we’ve achieved!
My reflections are that 2012 has been another great year for the FED team.
Highlights include that we’ve
– run a programme that has helped stimulate the largest increase in engagement scores of any government department
– introduced FED to the Foreign Office who have ensured that all British Ambassadors have a copy of the book
– at St George’s Park, the new centre of excellence for English football, helped run what we think is the world’s first leadership programme for aspiring football managers
– been inspired by working with the 16-17 year old leaders in the National Youth Orchestra
– worked with over 700 hospital doctors and GP’s to help them grasp this ‘leadership stuff’
– had Leadership Plain and Simple enter its third year of being the number one book of the 80,000+ offered by Amazon in a search for ‘leadership’ and be translated into Chinese, Japanese and Korean while also developing thousands of leaders in other parts of Whitehall and businesses including a global engineering company and a major pharmaceutical company.
What we’re particularly thrilled with is how FED seems to be relevant to everyone we work with whatever their age and walk of life.
So they are our highlights. What are your best memories of the year of who you have been and what you have done? Please spend a moment or two feeling bloody good about your answer!
Have a great Xmas,
Steve….
