This week I want to encourage you to make sure you’re connected with your Spirit Energy – that is the energy that’s all to do with your future, your sense of purpose and what uplifts you!

I’ve just had a great week in this regard. It started with me nipping out to take this photo at the nearby church. It was a fresh, crisp morning and being out there did my spirits and my calm energy the world of good. When was the last time you enjoyed the great outdoors?
I then went to help run the annual Marketing Society Leadership Programme. We were all inspired by the series of successful leaders from companies like Boots, Tesco and McDonalds who came to speak. What struck us was that all the speakers were both successful and ordinary! That is, they weren’t especially charismatic, or exceptionally bright, or a particular personality type. They were normal folk like me and you!
However, there was one special feature common to all of them which is worth noting – they had been and were still ‘up to something’! They were in touch with what they cared about and this guided their focus, fuelled their energy and gave them strength during their hard times.
So check in now. How is your Spirit Energy? How well are you connected to what you care about and what you’re up to? If you’re not, go for a lovely peaceful walk or find someone to have a chat with and let them help you reconnect and add a spring to your step.
Have a good week, Steve

Dear Steve,
a few days ago I tok along walk along the beach with my dog. Just let the spring breeze fill my lungs and wave through my hair. And let my thoughts and spirit recharge by doing and thinking nothing, and let the spirit energy fill up.
Really amazing to feel the re-energizing!
Best,
Anthonie

I think at times we need to be lifted up out of our work, and step back and gain some perspective. We also need to go in for the long term and not focus merely on the short term “gains”. So I think, connecting with our inner selves “our Spirit Energy” becomes all the more important. Thanks Steve for this most insightful message.

Best wishes,

Deepak
